Posted on Oct 23, 2023 in Environmental Reporting

Journalists from low- or middle-income countries can apply for a yearlong fellowship.

Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) launches a new fellowship for journalists. The program seeks to enhance reporting over four priority areas — climate change, biodiversity, the ocean and One Health.

Four journalists will be selected for the program. They will attend an orientation workshop hosted by EJN to strengthen their reporting skills and meet the other participating fellows.

Fellows will receive mentorship from senior journalists who will provide guidance, reporters’ resources and editorial support for their reporting.

In addition, fellows will be given a quarterly EUR6,000 (US$6,353) stipend to cover story production expenses and their time. Fellows will also receive EUR6,000 (US$6,353) to cover travel to conferences, travel for story production, professional development opportunities, and more.

The deadline is Nov. 16.
